Where the family actually talks.
The group everyone muted. The thread that lost the photographs. The conversation that only exists on one person's phone. Chats is the family's own, and it stays.
A conversation belongs to the family
Not to whoever created the group, and not to whoever still has the handset it started on. A relative who joins later can be brought into what was already said.
It sits beside everything else
The photograph somebody mentions is in Moments. The date somebody proposes is in Plans. A conversation is not a separate island from the rest of the family's record.
Said plainly, because this is the question people actually ask.
A conversation is visible to the people in it. Messages are stored as ordinary text on Sibaya's servers. They are not encrypted end to end, and we will not tell you otherwise. If that matters for something you are about to say, it should inform what you say.
We would rather lose a sign-up than earn one on a promise we cannot keep.
Three things, and no more.
-
Talk to the family
One conversation for the whole family, or a smaller one for the people arranging something.
-
Bring the rest of it in
A photograph, a date, a voice. From the family's own record rather than re-sent as a copy.
-
Catch up when you join
A relative who arrives later reads what was said, instead of being told it was in the old group.
