The photographs, and the days they belong to.
Four phones, three albums and a group chat nobody can scroll back through. Moments puts them in one place that belongs to the family.
A photograph is not the whole of it.
A day has more in it than an image: who was there, whose house it was, what was being celebrated, and the year everyone argues about afterwards.
- The picture itselfAt the size it was taken, not squeezed to fit a message.
- The day it belongs toSo a moment sits in the family's calendar, not in a scroll.
- The people in itNamed by the family, from the family's own record.
- Who can see itDecided by the family, and changeable afterwards.
Added once. Found by everyone.
-
Add the photograph
From your phone, at full size. It does not get re-compressed to fit a message.
-
Say when it was
A date, or the year if that is all anybody remembers. The day is what makes it findable later.
-
Name who is in it
From the family's own record, so the same person is the same person on every photograph.
-
Choose who sees it
The family, or a smaller part of it. You can change your mind later.
The first day is an empty page, and it says so.
Nobody starts with a full archive. The empty state asks for one photograph and one name, because that is the smallest thing that makes the next one easier.
