MadzikaneNcaphayiZelemuWushe The History Behind This Name
As written down by the people named at the end.
The amaBhaca were known as the AbakwaZelemu until about 1830. They formed from two related lines - Chief Zelemu and Chief Wushe, who shared the ancestor Lufulelwenja - reunited around 1730 when their grandsons Khalimeshe and Mjoli brought the amaWushe and AbakwaZelemu together.
Madzikane kaKhalimeshe led the consolidated nation south. His son Ncaphayi established Bhaca independence, defeating a Zulu force at Ntsizwa Mountain and raiding into Thembuland and Mpondoland before falling in battle against King Faku in 1845.
They speak isiBhaca, a Tekela language of the Nguni branch, now under pressure from isiXhosa, isiZulu and English.

About This Record
What Was Written Down
These are the founding names Wikipedia records for the nation, not an izinqulo sequence read from a praise corpus. The distinction matters and is stated rather than blurred.

If Your Family Holds More Of This
A family saying its own izinqulo knows them better than any directory does. If yours has more than what is on this page, it belongs here.
