These are praise names, not a full recitation.

Where community sources differ on a praise, both readings are kept. A regional form and a transcription slip are indistinguishable to anyone who is not a first-language reader.
The History Behind This Name
As written down by the people named at the end.
The Cirha are the senior house of Nkosiyamntu, and the house from which Tshawe took the Xhosa chieftainship. That contest is the founding event of the Xhosa kingdom as it is recited today, and it is why a Cirha is greeted as Sihlobo sikaPhalo - a relative of Phalo - rather than as a subject of the royal house.

About This Record
What Was Written Down
The senior house of Nkosiyamntu, from which the chieftainship passed to Tshawe. The izithakazelo.blog and nivile.co.za directories both carry the shorter directory form (Ncibane, Nojaholo, Ntswentswe, Qhanqolo); the fuller sequence above is iziduko.wordpress.com.

A family saying its own izinqulo knows them better than any directory does. If yours has more than what is on this page, it belongs here.
