About This Record
What Was Written Down
Wikipedia's Maluleke article says the chief Mavambe, though of the Manganyi clan, is related to the Maluleke through the Bungu family, that the Manganyi of Bungu recognised Shimambani as heir, and that Mavambe helped the Boers against Mphephu in 1898 and was described in 1905 as well disposed to Europeans. Mathevula's table of contents includes a Manganyi chapter (not read). Recorded from the sources named on this entry; the wording here is Sibaya's own.
